School Festival of Tennis
The Club held a very successful School Festival of Tennis on 16 June. Over 80 year 3 & 4 pupils from Sapcote Primary, Sharnford Primary, St Mary's, Burbage Junior and Sketchley Hill Primary attended the event which provided an opportunity for them to experience the game of tennis. Race Night
A Race Night (inc. Fish & Chip Supper) was held on Fri 14 May at the Rugby Club and raised £365. Open Days

Saturday 12th June from 9-1pm Withers Sports bringing a stock of demo rackets and tennis equipment for sale. Free coaching and membership offers.
Saturday 26th June from 10-1pm Free coaching and membership offers.
Sunday 4th July - Open Day with cream teas, tombola and use of courts from 1.30-4pm. Wimbledon Men's Final on big screen. Fun matches available. Free coaching. Fun for all the family.

Floodlit Courts
It is hoped that all 4 courts will soon be floodlit and run from a meter. Tokens cost £4 and are available from Dom or Alwyn Club Nights
Club Nights have re-commenced and take place every Tuesday and Thursday until the end of September. AGM 2010
The AGM was held on Thursday 18 March at 7.30 at Hinckley Rugby Club.
Club Keys
Clubhouse Security Keys - each with their own identity numbers - are available from Dom and Alwyn. There is a £10 deposit for each key - which is returnable - and a register is kept of key holders. Junior Teams in the Leicestershire League 2010
One team has been entered into the junior league this year - Boys under 12. If any more willing volunteers come forward and are prepared to run a team please speak to Dom and she will be more than happy to enter teams in a variety of age groups. Clubmark Accreditation
The Club has become the 15th in Leicestershire to achieve Clubmark accreditation. Paul Sheard, LTA Tennis Development Manager for Leicestershire and Derbyshire, visited Hinckley in November 09 to present the Clubmark plaque and congratulate the club on their efforts. 50th Anniversary Dinner
The Club held its 50th Anniversary Dinner on Sat 21 Nov at Hinckley Golf Club. Live entertainment was provided by Davy Lee. Club Championship trophies were presented by Andy Powell and Neville Smith. The Club Person of the Year Award was presented to Dom Holmes and the Most Improved Player of the Year Award was given to Chris Chatburn.
Tennis Balls
Please be aware that you need to provide your own balls for social play and club nights/afternoons. Balls can be purchased at the club for £5 per can. Balls used from matches may be left for general play, however this is not guaranteed. Saturday Afternoons
Run from 1.30 - 4.30 ish every Saturday. Just turn up whatever your standard. Come on down and join in.
